Go! Now! Live Web site!

OK, everyone. The new Web site is ready for company at donigreenberg.com

Don’t forget to bookmark the new site.

Feel free to invite all your friends and family in your address book, and feel free to encourage them to invite everyone in their address books.

Before you run off, I must give credit for the speedy construction of this wonderful new Web site to a pair of very important people; a perfect match of artistic and technical talents.

First, you’ve already heard me brag endlessly about my son Joseph Domke. He hopped to it and created a blog for me as a way to cheer me up and give me a place to write, just few days after I lost my job at the paper. He lives in the Czech Republic with Marie, his brilliant and beautiful bride.

Second is someone who’s remained bashfully humble, but he gave in to my begging and finally allowed me to disclose his identity, Jim Gore, of Redding.

Joe couldn’t have developed this Web site without Jim’s brainpower, knowledge and life experience. He’s a great friend who gives geeks everywhere a good name. He’s married to Darcie, a dear friend I’ve known since our daughters were in the Redding Co-Op Preschool. (Those little girls are nearly 30 now. Yikes.)

J&J built this Web site in a jiffy, via gmail chats, e-mails and phone calls; nine hours and a nearly a world apart.

Remember, it’s a work in progress. Together, we can nurture it and grow it into our virtual town square; a kind, gentle and fun community gathering place.

I thank every one of you for the support and encouragement to transition from the world of newspapers into the wild, wild best of the Internet. Thank you for your curiosity, your wisdom and your suggestions. Together, I just know …

It’s gonna be good!

    Dear Doni,

Yes, this will be good~~ but how about great?!

I did respond to your initial BLOG under Karen F.
Now, I will always use my full name because I have no reason to be ashamed of what I will contribute to this website, on your behalf!

You go girl! I look so forward to making this site a daily reading habit of mine. I have always admired your passion, even though I tried twice over the last 5 years to encourage you to write about rescue dogs, and “you had too much on your plate”… certainly no hard feelings about that response, because I have always appreciated your passion in so many different arenas.

I appreciate you being a “local girl” who brings so much to our community. Dispite what a few others may think, I feel you are a great local ICON! I have shared my feelings with others since you got shafted from RSL.

One thing I know for sure, from my gut, is that you will survive! I wish I had your tenacity! You are proving it now! So, to those who have dissed you, I say this: Bllll-bbbb
(Is impossible to spell. It’s a ululation of the lips and tongue similar to a “raspberry.”—from Roger Miller”s Chug-a-lug song!)

Once again, I will look forward to “reading you”! I wish you much success in your new endeavor. I am proud of you!

Raspberries to SL and P&P. God Bless Doni, her true friends @ RSL and the family in our community who loves Doni!

Hi Marv, Doni here. Congrats on being No. 1!
Regarding sweet little Bazooka, never fear, he’s doing just fine. Bazooka was adopted by a young couple, Joe’s friends, when Joe moved to the Czech Republic . (Joe, if you’re reading this, you might want to expound a bit and put people’s minds at ease about your dog.)

    Hi Doni,
I wonder if I’m the only one having trouble with the website. The fonts are HUGE, and therefore I can’t see the entire page. I’ll hang in there, though, because you are SO worth it!
    Hugs, lyn
